Karate training outside the Beaconsfield Recreation Center. First training session after the lockdown, what a joyous occasion. Distancing was respected and the session was divided up into warmups, basics, Makiwara on the shields attached to the trees and Kata. A different training mind set. If you don't adapt, you slowly die, so we must do what we must do to keep the flame alive. June 13, 2020

Marie Clarac High School, action packed « hands-on » teens self-defence course. January - March, 2026. Action always beats reaction. When faced with a confrontational or violent situation, don’t over think. Your reptilian brain is never wrong. Stay safe out there! Koshiki Karate tournament - Mirabel, Qc. March 23, 2024. Super performance from our adult students : Mike & Vlad who at our Beaconsfield karate & Jiujitsu club participated in the Mirabel Koshiki tournament. Both reached the winners podium: MIKE (wearing glasses) won GOLD in the adult organe & yellow belt Fighting division & SILVER in the Kata section. Vlad won GOLD in the Kata division (he did not fight due to an eye injury). Hard work certainly pays off. BRAVO! Left to right: Marc, Masamitsu Kudaka (from Japan), Vlad, Mike & George (head instructor & couch). Class 3 done, lunch time session with these great people at Burns BJJ school in Lantana, Florida. We empowered these wonderful people who face sooo many obstacles in their lives. We gave them options on what they can do if confronted. Worked on stand-up defence and what to do if thrown to the ground, then we attacked Beaconsfield Recreation Centre, children's bully proofing and karate class.
