Karate training outside the Beaconsfield Recreation Center. First training session after the lockdown, what a joyous occasion. Distancing was respected and the session was divided up into warmups, basics, Makiwara on the shields attached to the trees and Kata. A different training mind set. If you don't adapt, you slowly die, so we must do what we must do to keep the flame alive. June 13, 2020 Riverside school board - Nov. 2019, self-defence workshop. An eye opening experience for all participants. They got a taste of what an actual, stressful attack would feel like. Panic, confusion and mayhem that goes on during a violent confrontation.
