‘The Volcano’ from the documentary ‘The Ring Within’ by Dan Bigras
This short documentary depicts the life of Charles Ali Nestor and his friends. These angry young men have found a way of channeling the rage deep down within them through the practice of martial arts (M.M.A. and Cage fighting).
George Manoli was looking for an instructor to assist him in the Karate courses he was teaching to elementary school children. Nestor Charles came knocking at his door. Over time, George took Nestor under his wing, they became friends. He began teaching and guiding Nestor in the ‘Manoli’ hands-on women/teens self-defense method which he had created several years back.
The VOLCANO self-defense video depicts George Manoli teaching and being assisted by Nestor Charles in a hands-on women/teen’s self-defense session filmed at Marie Clarac high school in Montreal North. ‘Attitude’ and ‘Determination’ or ‘The Volcano Within’ are the necessary ingredients to personal empowerment.
