July 16, 2022 July 16, 2022 - Graduation day at our Arena Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club with Professor Marcelo Tolentino. Received my purple belt today. Never too old to train, keep learning and help others Private "hands-on" self-defence course at my St. Leonard studio. Job well done. June 202 CLSC, Pointe Aux Trembles, 16 women are following our 7 week 'hands-on' women's self-defence program. Sessions are held outside, in the evening, in the park. Empowerment, Attitude and realistic options in doing 'WHATEVER IT TAKES' to get out of a violent confrontation. Sept. 2021. Karate training outside the Beaconsfield Recreation Center. First training session after the lockdown, what a joyous occasion. Distancing was respected and the session was divided up into warmups, basics, Makiwara on the shields attached to the trees and Kata. A different training mind set. If you don't adapt, you slowly die, so we must do what we must do to keep the flame alive.
